Don't know what boat you have, but one thing to consider with a 36V is how SLOW you can go. I know on Mellot's 620 with 101lb that it's hard to go slow on a calm night.

Personally I'd go with the 80lb with larger batteries if you're going to use the TM for "normal" duty. It's about $300-$400 cheaper to go that way to boot.
