Acid wash is a good way to handle that problem. It's not cheap... 20ft boats can cost up to $1000 with a wash and detailed. My buddy does it every year and the boat looks brand new come opener. It's worth it if you want your boat looking brand new without the labor or time to get it looking great on your own. That's one of the reasons why I always trailer my boat. I've seen too many boats stored at slips during the season and look horrible.
