As I'm prepping my boat for the spring I notice that on of my two batteries, optima dual purpose blue top D34m, according to my dual pro 3 bank charge,r is only taking a 20% charge. I did notice that the battery was hot to the touch (can keep my hand on the side of the battery but yes its hot.) Considering that, Im thinking its time for a new battery. How do I know for sure? The charger reads full charge on the other battery which was cool to the touch. Both batteries are 5 years old. Battery is now out of the boat for precautionary measures.
Is this a job for Captain Obvious?
If I'm buying new, what are your opinions of the Optima 31's? Or any other brand?

Thanks,
Karl
