I run the exact same rig. A 1996 175 EFI that is just horrible on gas. There are tons of hours on mine and have been kicking around the idea of replacing it. What is your opinons of dropping down to a 150 optimax. I have found some great deals on 150's. I too can run right around 53-54 with the 175. Do you think with the 150 I can be still in the 50's and with the right prop have a good hole shot.
