I've got a 2000 Navigator 165 tiller with a 50 Merc 4-stroke. I bought it used in 2004 for about $7600. You may be able to talk the seller down a bit.

I like mine. If I had bought it new, I would have maxed the motor with a fuel-injected 60 HP. The 50 HP gets around 30 MPH with just me and my gear and a couple MPH less with another guy.

I like the extra floor space of the tiller and the control I get trolling. I like the narrow gunnels on the older Navigators. Makes it easy to clamp on Down East rod holders.

I get wet in big waves, but I don't feel unsafe. I've had it on LOTW, Rainy, Eagle, and Vermilion.
