eBay! You can get some nice $600-$800 units for about $400 used if you look. Just make sure you buy form someone with high ratings and READ the description. Some units are sold AS-IS or may need a part or two. Make sure you buy a complete unit. Also Cabelas Bargain cave will have complete units on special. I got my iGPS 522 Lowrance for about $200 off retail from the Cave. Perfect unit.


I've done this in the past when I needed units asap and I've been lucky. However, the downfall to buying used or discontinued units is the lack of warranty or in many peoples case lately is companies not being able to work on discontinued units at all due to no longer being able to get parts for them. So before buying, make sure to take this into consideration.
