I could be wrong but believe that is one of the features exclusive to the HB unit with the 2010 Lakemaster chip.

It is called depth range highlight.
The other two features are Water Level Offset (enables you to recalibrate the contour lines according to the ACTUAL current depth of a lake) and Shallow Water Highlight.


I have a HB with the Lakemaster chip and you are correct about the features you listed. I was on LSC a few weeks ago and was able to highlight the depth of water I had heard the fish were in. It does help narrow down a big body of water if you know what depth you want to fish.
