I own one and have issues with it. If you would like an unbiased review of this engine  call 231-722 - 4266 Sportfisherman sales and service in Muskegon Michigan.  Ask for Jeff. Ask him about 2002 to 2004 Yamaha powered mercs and water in the crank cases.   I was given( by Mercury) a 2004 4 stroke in place of a failed 115 optimax.  I will say the 115 4 stroke has been much more reliable and has yet to fail me. However it is not as fast as the opti was and I hate changing the oil all the time. I fish more hours then most guys so this equates to changing the oil 4 to 5 times per season.  If you are not going to troll much and dont fish every day the 115 4 stroke will be a great engine for you. Mike[/QUOTE]
