Location: Maple Grove MN		I fish out of a Ranger R83 which is a little longer than the boats that you are looking at. IMO these boats are great for shallow water, calm conditions, anytime I'm on a lake larger than 2000+ acres I try to stay out of the wind. The trolling motor shaft comes out of the water in waves bigger than 2.5-3' and it's hard to stay on course.
