Side imaging is a great tool.....almost seems should be illegal.

I went with the 998 on the dash, worth it for me vs the 898 but a personal decission. Also run an older Lowrance color locator on the dash and still glad I went with the 998.

Bow I run a 788.......don't know if the side imaging would be worth it on the trolling motor with the constant movement.

I find myself when fishing alone in the front to swing the 998 around to view (ram mount) it is that nice.

Very, very happy with the switch from Lowrance to Humminbird... ran Lowrance on my last (2) boats.
