Location: Davenport, IA		Makes a big difference on my 16'8" Javelin with a 115. It came with a hyrdofoil. I tried using it without and it took longer to plane. There was no difference in top speed. Then again, on my 16' Alumacraft w/ a 25 a hydrofoil lowered top speed by 10 mph and it went from 40 seconds to plan to a couple minutes.
