FROM WHAT I READ, THE ETHERNET CABLE IS ONLY FOR THE SONAR/DUCER, NOT THE PUCK SIGNAL. THE NMEA NETWORK SHARES THE SIGNAL WITH THE PUCK. AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THE UPDATES ON BOTH UNITS, THE NEMA WILL TRANSFER WAYPOINTS FROM UNIT TO UNIT. LOOKS LIKE A $300 UPGRADE....
