Not sure how well an "at home fix" will work or hold up in the long run. The proper repair will be to have someone repair the dent and replace the rivets. We had our 1700 Spectrum gutted and sent it down to get 50 or so rivets put in it as well as weld up the corners on the transom, it was like $600. But like I said we did all the gutting as the boat was bought cheap from the previous owner as he tried to customize/repair it himself and got in over his head.
