I see alot of guys at the ramp with 2WD, but I see more with 4WD. Whether that's because boat owners are more of a 4WD crowd, or whatever. I know I'm glad I have 4WD at the ramp. Especially in the fall when the ramp ices up. It's nice to be able to pull myself up and out. A limited slip in the rear is also very nice to have on icy/snowy ramps. But like Shawn said, there's plenty of guys that make 2WD's do awesome things. And I have seen guys in 2WD carry sand and salt to the ramp if they need the traction.
