Location: Indiana		I have the terrova so I can use the pedal but most of the year it has been in the storage compartment. If you are in really bad conditions it wouldn't hurt to be able to use the pedal. That being said one feature I love on the I-pilot is the spot lock. When it's really windy you can leap frog ahead and cover spots better then just following through with too high of speed to control the boat. Plus after you net a fish you can stay in the same area.
