On the contrary, I have done it with a kicker motor and the bow mount, so there would be no reason as to why running two on two different batteries would be a pain.

If there is a way to tighten up the steering on the rear motor, that one just runs straight for power. Then...you use the bow mount to steer and increase power as you need it for forward movement.

If you really want to position the boat well on structure, and you have two guys in the boat, the boat can always be put in a great position as it pertains to working around structure, dealing with waves, etc.

If you run two separate batteries, I think it should work pretty darn well....
