I'm replacing my helm right now on my Ranger 618....no way to "tighten up" they just wear out. Especially with the help of backing a trimmed down motor into an uphill driveway and some sandbar incidents.

PS - if you can turn the wheel by pushing the motor from one side to the other, it needs replaced. Makes a good case for hydraulic steering even for smaller motors(mine is a 115)
