Hiya,

Not sure what the Tuffy series of boats used for their steering systems, but if it turns easily, my guess is that it is not what they call a "no feedback" steering system. Our neighbor's lund boat is without the no feedback and if I let go of the wheel at all, I'd be circling and potentially thrown from the boat.... If you don't have a no-feedback steering system, you probably feel a bit of torque at lower speeds and when trimmed down, with the tendency of the motor to always want to turn left....not uncommon.

If this is the case, I don't believe there is a way to tighten it up. I believe you would need to replace your steering column...
