Location: Elk River, Minnesota		An easy way to check if the fuel bulb is bad is to see about borrowing someones that you know is working and hook it up. if problem stops, problem located.

Changing the filter is a good preventative maintenance thing, so it could not hurt to do it. Those should be changed every couple of years anyway...
