fish hawk, how long have you owned your 520? I'm betting your puck has gone bad. GPS pucks don't last forever, they do go bad. Try hooking up your unit to someone elses gps puck, if it doesn't work with someone elses, then it's the unit, if it works with someone elses, then your puck is bad.

Also, what do you mean you cut one spot out? Which wire did you cut?
