I noticed this problem myself not too long ago, but I actually forgot about it until I read this thread. I just looked in my manual for a 2008 115hp opti and it says" NOTE: the flo-torque lll propeller drive hubs are designed to have a small amount of free play when installed. This free play allows the propeller to slide back and forth on the rear thrust hub [up to 3.17mm (1/8 in.)] and rotate up to 10 degrees."
