The two biggest things that've made the biggest difference for me are a good leaning post and super cushioned running shoes. I keep my deck clear though for the sake of keeping it clutter-free and with good traction when wet.

But if you're looking for a pad, you can find rubberized pads like what Costco greeters and Wal-Mart cashiers stand on. A quick Google search will get you tons of results-
