Have heard that the fuel filters need to be changed to avoid high rpm issues. There is a low presure filter and a high pressure filter. Believe that the high pressure filters are the ones that tend to give problems. My 90HP Suzuki will be 6 years old this fall and I plan to change out the HP filter for the first time after I fill up the gas tank for the first time this year. I have a friend that owns a 70HP Suzuki a few years older than mine and had some similar problems with filter pluggage.

If this is the issue and your dealer failed to recognize it, I would be upset as this is a fairly well known issue when the filter becomes plugged.
