Location: Gilberts IL/Rhinelander WI | Mercury 50hp 2 stroke 2007 on a Lowe stinger 175. My last boat did not have trim on motor, only three settings . Down,up, or in the middle. New boat motor trims up and down ,but I can only cruise at idle speed with the prop just under the water. While it is trimmed up if I give it any more gas than idle the motor automatically goes down. Is this normal?? It has done this from the day I bought it, and after seeing some guy's cruisin pretty good with the motor up ,it has got me wondering. Same with power loading the boat, If I did that the motor would go right down and slam into the ramp. Thanks! |
