I have the 997c Side imaging and I like it. It is expensive but it does some amazing things. It helps me find weeds and structure that I normally would not see. I really like Humminbirds customer service (they answer the phone and actually help you). If you don't think you will use the SI features then I would not spend the money. Check out Humminbirds website for videos and youtube videos.
