Hiya,

I prefer the narrow gunnel width because I can get my rod totally vertical without having to make too much movement of my upper body. As far as rod holders go, depending on how much trolling you do, you can mount scotty holders on the rear corners pretty easily, and if you so choose, you could mount rails and attach that way, or go with down easters which wouldn't allow you to put a rod tip in the water, but they should be able to be mounted on a gunnel.

If you get a dual console model, you can mount scotty's or any similar type on the sides with ease since the sides are covered by a piece of sheet aluminum.

The navigator is a really nice boat...I've had the 165 since they came out in 2005, and I love it!!
