I have a '93 50hp Johnson that won't run for crap at idle. I have had it into five differant shops and they can't find any thing wrong. My last attempt was to buy some Amsoil and put it into the gas tank and unhook the oil inj. from the motor but the low oil alarm went off and the engine would not rev above 1000rpm so I put the line back on and the alarm stopped and I could take off again. I was wondering if I should get new carbs or is there anything else I should try. Thanks for any help.
