I"ve got my Humminbird 997 on a Ram mount on the gunnel cap at the console of my 1850 FishHawk. There is a plate you can buy http://www.cabelas.com/p-0013692018192a.shtml that mounts the puck to the Ram mount which is what you see in the first pic.

Or do like I did for the graph on my bow, went to the hardware store and bought a galvanized plate (for trusses??) with holes predrilled, cut it to fit and spray painted it black, cost about $3 I think.
