The 1890 is definitely not too big to launch on smaller waters, I ran that hull for two seasons up here and fished all my favorite puddles with no launch or load issues. Norm Wild runs one now, and is allover Vilas and Oneida. For open fishing and a great price, look at the 1760 GC and 1890 GC models, still with deep enough interiors to meet your needs.
