Subject: RE: 618T?

I really looked hard at a new 618T. It is a very nice boat...fit and finish is second to none. Also, wonderful storage. I must admit that I do have a soft spot for nice tiller boats and the 618T and 620T are great boats. Yet, I decided on a Tuffy X-190.

Why?

The rear casting deck set-up is really nice and 90% of my fishing is for Muskies. I run the boat from the back and just couldn't see fishing off the storage decks at night in rough weather. Also, decided that I still wanted more than a 90 hp for moving across the water. The 620T can have way more than a 90hp but also is WAY more expensive than the 618T.

The X-190 is a fantastic Muskie boat for the lakes I fish.

Truth? Buy what fits your needs. If you don't feel you need a nice rear casting deck, you will still love the 618T. Good luck and enjoy. Picking out a new boat is a great problem to have:)
