I swapped out a Maxxum for my Terrova and I love it. I bought it mainly so I could use it on the remote and not have to balance on the foot pedal on LSC, and also so I could run it from the back of the boat. I do love it, but you have to understand there's a few differences between it and the Maxxum. First the turn response is much much slower. This is why bass guys hate Terrovas so much. You have to plan your turns so you have time for the head to turn. It's not terribly slow on it's own, but compared to the relatively instant turn of a cable drive, it's slow. The other difference, which is along those lines, is that you can't tell which way your head is pointing just by putting your foot on the pedal. So you have to look or just always be aware of where you're pointing before you goose it. Not an issue for me and I'm so used to it, and it's clean installation I love it.

They'll also say the turning of the head robs battery power, but I've never had an issue with it. Batteries last fine.

Get the 60". Go big or go home. Unless you exclusively fish small water that doesn't chop up and you don't need to worry about pulling the prop out of the water.
