I have been using the Dual Pro Charge on the run but I am considering removing mine. While using it I have blown 2 powerheads on my Evinrude in 4 years. I don't know for sure that this was the culprit but have also heard that charge on the run is potentially bad on Optimax's and E-tecs. Would love to hear more from people in the know or with similar experiences before I remove it. I do love the charge on the run feature. Every time you drop the trolling motor the batteries at full charge. Good thing because when your motor blows you'll need them to get back to the dock!
