Not having driven that vehicle, I would be looking for one major thing: whether or not the Traverse has a trailer towing package on it. If it does, you should be fine...if not, I would highly suggest getting one installed. Good that the trailer has brakes as well..that is a bit of weight back there, so getting it rolling isn't too much of an issue...it's getting it stopped.

What sized engine do you have?
