My 620 came with a stereo and 2 speakers in the 'cockpit' area. It produces great sound for the rear half of the boat. I am thinking about adding some speakers to the front deck area so I can hear it better while casting without having to blare the sound. Has anyone done it? I would like to use the same 6.5" Sony marine speakers that are installed in the 'cockpit' area, but am unsure of:

1) if there is actually room along the gunwales because of the lay of the glass (if not, where has anyone else put them?)
2) if they are waterproof enough to be in the less protected area.

Anyone?
