Only thing you can try is a soft reset or a hard reset. Try the soft reset first, this won't delete any waypoints.

To do a soft reset, turn unit off first. Press and hold the pages key. Press and hold the power key. Release both keys when the USA map appears.

To do a hard reset, power the unit off first. Press and hold the zin & zout keys at the same time. Then press and hold the power key. Release both keys when the USA map appears.

*Remember, when doing a hard reset, it WILL delete all your waypoints.

If this doesn't help, you can do what Cowboyhannah suggests. However, more than likely you won't get a deal with that unit as old as it is anymore. I've been hearing of newer units than that not getting repaired or even offered a deal on a new one.
