I've got the 2004 DF90. The DF90/115/140 all share the same engine block. I believe that the DF140 has some more extensive upgrades to get the the extra power. As far as issues, I have had none. Great runner in all conditions. This motor starts on the first crank regardless of weather (including freezing conditions). Only exception would be if the fuel bulb is not pumped up.

As far as power, I have been impressed. I am running this on a 1750 Crestliner Fishhawk and get 38.5 to 40.0 GPS on the stock propeller. It really gets up out of the hole nicely. I think that some credit goes to the dealer in that they knew exactly where to mount the motor (middle hole) to get good performance.
