I'm not sure what you have to work with on the ranger, but my plans for when I get time are pretty simple for a tiller casting deck. Make the casting deck whatever length you want. Under the platform is the seat you sit on to drive the boat. Basically it would be hinged in the middle so that you could flip it open and sit in the seat and drive. I'm not sure where I'll put it, but I want to add a pedastal seat for the rear deck. The top part of the attached picture is the driving position, and the bottom is the casting position. The area underneath could be customized for whatever storage you need.
