Location: Kodiak, AK | My 25C on my console just crapped itself. The screen won't hold bright, and flickers. It is the unit, I've swapped the wiring and fuse block, and then even took it down to West Marine and plugged it into their display power cord, and it still flickered, so it's dead.
I'm just going to get an HDS 8, but is the 25C salvagable? Everything on it still works, just the screen flickers, and is dark more than light, so you can't see it during the day. I thought I'd read somewhere where you can send them to a private party that repairs them. Am I off base, or did I actually read that? I'd like to keep it as a spare or even sell it. I've already had offers on the broken unit as-is!! |
