Wish I knew where they are adding the flotation, not sure how the 1850's differ. With regards to the 1750 pre and post 2005, they are different boats. The pre 2005 1750's are the same as the current 1700's. The 2005 and newer 1750's are a bit longer and wider with center rod locker storage, center fuel tank storage, and a number of other differences. For some reason the brought the old 1750 design back as a "1700" minus the deck extension behind the livewell.

One thing that I noticed on the newer 1750's was that the carpeted panel on the back end of the freeboard is wider than the older 1750's. I assume that this is where they figure they need to add the floatation.

If this is the case, they will not like what I have done to my 2004 1750. I put some rain gutter downspouts in this spot so that I could slide rod tips to prevent rod guide damage for anybody fishign from my back deck that might step on it.
