Had a Pro Mariner explode during a trip to LOTW four years ago. Was the stock charger in my Crestliner 192 and was in the trolling battery compartment under the center floor rod locker. No ventilation and I was later told Pro Mariners need ventilation. Go figure why Crestliner would put them in that compartment if they need ventilation. Anyway, replaced it with a Dual Pro and no problems since. Dual Pro specifically advertises that their chargers don't need ventilation and I've heard they're very quick to replace one if it fails.
