We stay on a section of the lake where the wind and water can build for 7 miles. When you have 30-40 mph winds it isn't hard for waves to build up. It was so bad that a week before they lost there dock which had 2 boats tied to it one sank and was destroyed and the other needed a bunch of welding. I will try to post some pictures. While we were there we decided to pull the boats every night. During one of the nights the wind shifted and the water can straight through the islands breaking and bending the 1/2 metal pins that hold the floating dock together. Needless to say the dock was floating against the shore in the morning. I'm so glad we pulled the boats.
