2000 ranger 619 on drivers side as I only have one windshield and tend to cast out passenger side. Better weight balance when 3 people in boat. Can't remember what length my old 9.9 Bigfoot tiller shaft was. If it was a 15 then a 20 would be fine. My 2000 rangers transom seems smaller lower in water than the newer models. Maybe the 25" shaft would never clear water line and create drag going down lake.
