The yahama and etec 4 strokes handle very well, cannot account for any other brands. IMO, if you have a yami or etec 4 stoke under a 150hp you will not need a kicker motor, They idle slow and are great on gas!

The boat is only 17'6, a 90 would handle it, however I would look at a 115-
