when my 01 Merc EFI blew I put about the same $$ amount to repower my 690 w/ a 175 Suzi...got a 6 yr warranty too
glad I went that route over another brand....Good decision on keeping your rig Pantlegger..690s are a great boat...yours will last a long time w/ that new motor on it..
