Location: Richland Center, WI. | Did a number on the prop and skeg on my 2004 Mercury 90hp 4 stroke last week. Called a local dealer and can get the skeg and prop repaired for around $500. Problem is, boat will be laid up for a week at least while fixing. Has anyone used one of the stainless steel Skeggard's? Saw them on the Cabelas website and it looks like it would be an easy install. Would still need to pick up a prop. Has anyone used one of these and how did it work for you? Should I bite the bullett and put the musky gear away for a week and get the dealer to repair or what?
