The way I look at it, there is no way you can get four on the transom and keep the lures running far enough apart to make it worth while running four unless you have a mast and big boards to get two out away from the boat or run two lightweight lures on inline boards. Even then it would be a mess when a fish hits unless you have lots of free hands to get the other lines out of the way seeing how a fish will inevitably end up behind the boat unless you stop it.
My ideal setup would be two holders on the sides up front for board rods, or two in the middle for long rods to be used as flat lines, and two on the corners on the transom for deep divers or heavy weights.
What is the problem with clamping the holders to the sides? |
