Location: Minnesota		Thanks for sharing - I might have to do something like that to mine.
I don't have pictures to share but when I replaced the front deck on mine I did something similar to the front of the rod locker and made it so I can fit 8.5 foot rods in there. I had to cut a large hole through the metal support plate in the front of the rod locker but now my rod tips extend up to the front of the storage compartment instead of half way. Your modification would make it nicer to store rods on deck while fishing - thanks.
