Yeah, I tried doing my own work last year. Ended up paying a mechanic around $300 to replace some high speed electrical gizmo. Learned my lesson on that one. Just gonna bring it in right away rather than waste money "fixing" things that don't need to be fixed and not having a working boat for a couple months. Sucks when you do take it in and the mechanic doesn't get it right the first time. That happened to me last year as well. Get referrals.
