Location: Kildeer, IL		Has anyone made a pull rope out of anything but rope? I've heard of people using aircraft cable, bowstrings, and others

I would like to make a new pull rope out of coated wire rope.

If you have made one out of cable, how did you attach the cable to the pull handle? You can't tie a knot, and the termination crimps would seem to get in the way.
