Got any pics? Are the chips and missing pieces down the the glass lay up? As long as the structural glass is intact, and these cracks aren't all over the place, I'd say you're OK. But my boat for example, Sled used the heck out of it, and there wasn't any gel coat missing when I bougnt it...well maybe a chip or two on the bottom, but no big chips and cracks. If it's banged up, you may want to look at another boat.
